An exciting new design by Akarstudios for a temporary ice skating rink at Cityline Downtown Sunnyvale has been unveiled, promising a vibrant addition to the community.

The client wanted to update the look and layout of his 1950s house in Seal Beach, Southern California. The home sits on a corner lot across from a large green space. Because the house had several poorly planned additions in the 1980s, there were many chances to open up the interiors and improve the design.

The aim of the front lawn is to harmonize the house’s clean lines with the immediate surroundings. The proposed landscape design creates a multitude of social and relaxation areas with pockets of hardscape and walkable surfaces. Drought-tolerant planting will be utilized to enhance sustainability.

The former Shor restaurant space will enter a new chapter with the opening of the Khan Saab. The new concept is ultimately an extension of the highly acclaimed Michelin-recognized Khan Saab brand from Fullerton, renowned for its elevated approach to South Asian cuisine.

The proposed residential unit is for a quaint neighborhood in the coastal town of Seal Beach, Southern California. Strict planning constraints required working with the triangular site and the underlying footprint of a three-car garage that had to be maintained.

The Khan Walla will be a new tea house in Orange County, California, offering a variety of South Asian teas and food bites. A former restaurant space in a retail center will be transformed into a colorful venue with exposed structures and graphics that create a strong visual presence.

Located at the intersections of Kinross Avenue and Westwood Boulevard in the heart of Westwood village, adjacent to the UCLA campus, the mixed-use two-story 50’s building occupies an imposing corner site. The design proposal is to transform the approx. 6,000 SF vacant second-floor office space into residential apartment units

Eggslut has unveiled plans to open a second location in Toronto, in partnership with a local developer at the famous Tenor retail and entertainment complex in the heart of the city.

Eggslut has announced plans to open a new location outside of London in the north of England. Situated on Deansgate in the heart of Manchester, the 1,600 SF space will comprise indoor and outdoor seating areas.
