The graphical approach for Novecientos Grados adds vibrancy to the brand’s identity and creates a visual metaphor for the restaurant’s location in the busy terminal.
For this new concept, we created a variety of graphic elements, each with its own story. While artwork inspired by traditional Mexican embroidery adorns the bar’s illuminated glass panels, a colorful palette of alebrije street art and skateboard wheels is spread across the sit-down counters and the building’s structural frame. Adding character to the dining space ceiling are suspended overhead backlit skateboards decorated with graphical images of the city’s historical landmarks, and a large monochromatic wallpaper graphic of a local skatepark that overlooks the seating area.
The result is a storytelling palette of energetic, sensory graphics that serve as a reference point for the culinary offerings and the association of skateboards with the brand.
